Job Description

*Job Profile BDM - Specialty Business Unit - Pradaxa Job Basic purpose of the job: Responsible for increasing the market penetration of BI products and achieving the sales targets for specific area by building relationships. To grow the BI brand by engaging the opinion leaders in the specified Area.AccountabilitiesTo gather market intelligence through Retail Call Prescription Audit (RCPA) at chemist counters and enquire about prescription habits of healthcare professionals.To meet or exceed sales targets through regular visits to healthcare professionals. To develop territory mapping to ensure effective level of call frequency on targeted hospitals and practitioners to advance the sales cycle. To plan and organize sales strategies in accordance with the gathered market intelligence. To develop and execute business plan for territory with sales plan at the hospital and health care professional level.To execute the plan to accomplish goals as per current sales and marketing direction. To stay updated with product knowledge and impart correct knowledge to the practitioners. To gain commitment from the practitioners by regular calls, CMEs, symposiums, web based meets, etc.To meet the stockists and distributors and ensure sufficient inventoryTo complete administrative assignments in a timely manner, maintaining customer records, completing daily call notes and recording of samples. Needs to acclimatize quickly and use various technology toolsAlso collection of Adverse Drugs Reaction (ADR) incidences including lack of efficacy related to Companys any drug product / medicinal product in specified format up to the maximum possible level of completeness and forwarding the same to the companys assigned person(s) in your PV-system. Preliminary report should reach to PV -head within 24-hrs. and if required, Final Report shall be submitted within 7- working days.Regulatory and / or Organisational Requirements : As per company policies and SOPsInterfaces* : Medical, Marketing Team.Job Expertise* :

  • Knowledge of pharma industry and specialties
  • Min bachelors degree
  • 9 months-6 years related experience beyond the degree
  • Clinical and Scientific sales experience
  • Requires Scientific and Clinical consultative selling skills

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements*: Bachelor s degree in Science, preferably Bachelors degree in Pharmacy and MBA.Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies:

  • Should be able to learn mechanism of action of molecules and clinical application concepts easily
  • Adaptability is critical to quickly respond to changing situations and priorities
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving and decision making acclimating to various customer needs, interests and processes
