Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesPurpose of Role:

  • Receive business and IT requirements from customer and create system specification documents for approval
  • Leading the design and supporting various Essbase cubes as well as maintaining all Essbase servers- Be flexible in work timings to match global time zones
  • Develop and maintain customized applications, Hyperion artifacts, build data integration objects using ODI
  • Work with business users and customer IT to ensure applications and enhancements meet the needs of the business
  • Upgrade and maintain Hyperion environment
  • Manage the Hyperion implementation and lead Hyperion team
  • Knowledge in Financial budgeting, planning and closing process
  • Conduct unit and system integration testing to ensure requirements are met
  • Recommend ways to increase thebusiness value.
Responsibilities
  • Hyperion Essbase, Planning Development and implementation skills
  • Develop data integration objects using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Hyperion infrastructure experience. Essbase Server (Windows) Install, EPM Upgrade and maintenance experience
  • Essbase cube design, build as per the business requirement
  • Hyperion security provision experience using Essbase filters, shared services etc.
  • Experience in building Essbase ASO cubes.
  • Expertise in writing complex calculation scripts, business rules etc.
  • Experience in SmartView to validate data in Hyperion
  • Strong knowledge in SQL to integrate data from data warehouse to Hyperion
  • Essbase/Planning artifacts develop experience like Maxl, Rules files, MDX etc.
  • Experience in creating planning web forms, task lists, menus etc.
  • Strong knowledge in creating ODI interfaces, packages, variables, load plans etc and load data into Hyperion
  • Expertise in building dimension in Hyperion, alternate hierarchies
  • Supporting user training, projects and process documentation, and productions rollouts
  • Developing key business processes to support a Hyperion Planning application and related technologies
  • Defining test conditions and test scripts to ensure system stability, validity and data integrity
  • Contributing to project strategy and partnering with team to create and improve methodologies and best practices.
  • Designing the user experience from an end user planning and reporting perspective.
Knowledge and Skills Required Bachelor Degree in IT or related discipline, or equivalent Minimum of three years experience with the above knowledge areas -Strong knowledge of Essbase and Calc Scripts/Calc Manager. - Oracle/Hyperion products certifications preferred. - Hands-on Smart View. - Strong ability to understand finance and accounting principles. - Experience with Oracle R12 a plus. - Experience with Linux 5/Linux 6 a plus - Excellent analytical and research skills. Strong communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills. Independent customer facing roles. Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements.
