Job Description

Performs assignments that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.Exercises limited but increasing judgment in performing assigned tasks. Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment ofan experienced engineer.Receives technical and administrative supervision from an Engineering Supervisor.

  1. Supervision Exercised May provide technical direction as appropriate to drafters, technicians and GETs and Junior Engineers who perform specific design support assignments.
  2. Contacts
Maintains contact with the immediate work group or discipline and interfaces with other disciplines as specifically directed.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  1. Preparation of Technical Specification, Datasheet in SPI, Technical Bid, Analysis of Field Instruments including Flow, Level, Pressure and Temeprature Instruments.
  2. Preparation of Level Sketches and Block Diagrams
  3. Preparation of Instrument Installation Details Bulk Material Take off and assist designers in Modelling of instruments and junction boxes
  4. Preparation of Motor Coordination Table, Instrument Index in SPI
  5. Prepration of Loop and Wiring Diagram in SPI.
  6. Assignment of IID in SPI and development of Instrument Bulk MTO.
  7. Basic Awareness of Cause Effect Diagram and Interlock List.
  8. Basic awareness of General and Severe Service Control Valve Design.
  1. Basic technical knowledge of Control System engineering in Oil and Gas Industry and PIP Specs.
  2. Basic knowledge of Field Instrument Design Criteria and Specifications
  3. Design experience and basic knowledge of Flow Element Sizing, Thermowell Wake Frequency Calculation.
  4. Basic knowledge of Control Valve Sizing and selection criteria of Control Valves.
  5. Basic awareness industry standards Application Programs such as SPI (Data Sheet, Index, Loop and Wiring Modules), Flowell, Fisher FirstVue.
  6. Conversant with SPR to review 3D Model and determination of optimized JB Location.
  1. 4 year B.Tech degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  2. 4-7 years of relevant experience in Oil Gas Industry.
