HVAC MANAGER The HVAC engineer will be a professional who is engaged in providing specialized engineering services in the areas related to ventilation of fume hoods in laboratories. The HVAC engineers responsibilities comprise designing, testing, and manufacturing the systems related to ventilation so that they are properly fitted to meet the required specifications for the existing old buildings as well as the newly constructed buildings. Thus, he/ she will play a vital role in estimating, leading, managing, and overseeing Projects for the HVAC engineering department. Age: 35 yearsKey Responsibilities of an HVAC Engineer The HVAC engineer will be responsible for taking into account the clients needs and designing the system wherein these requirements will be fulfilled by carrying out these duties within the given budget standards. He determines the scope of the clients project and makes sure that it is completed within the given deadline. His work includes installing the ductwork, blowers, fume hood components and other related tasks like troubleshooting, repairing, recycling, etc. He is also involved in managing the team, estimating the cost, and communicating with the other departments to ensure successful completion. Here are some points mentioned below which will help you in giving a clear picture about the key responsibilities that need to be shouldered by an HVAC engineer:1. To design the HVAC system as per the requirements mentioned in the proposal through various stages like estimating, designing, fabricating, and testing.2. To apply the technical expertise and knowledge that will support the designing, estimating, manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting and help in better delivery of the HVAC system.3. To make an active contribution in the research and development efforts by understanding the HVAC advances that will match with the emerging technologies.4. To be accountable for the specification of sheet metal layout, components and the fabrication approaches.5. To monitor the execution of the developmental efforts and think of innovative ideas to build and design the HVAC system within the given budget and time.6. To assist in the preparation of the performance of the equipment specification and data.7. Responsible for HVAC, water supply and drainage, fire prevention construction engineering design; able to supervise and provide guidance for construction of lab projects; able to calculate project HVAC system costing.8. Responsible for liaison and communication between design institute institutes and client engineers; have good technical selling capability and presentation skills.9. Actively collect market information, provide product and project HVAC system upgrade recommendations.10. Have some experience in on-site construction projects, familiar with laboratory ventilation and air conditioning related design (including the fume hood system); Familiar with the laboratory exhaust gas treatment and refrigeration systems and other HVAC related equipment.11. Good communication skills and professionalism.12. With 3-5 years of work experience, familiar with CAD, MS office and other related software; familiar with BIM software preferred; good English skills.13. Design institute HVAC engineering experience is preferred, good understanding of ventilation and building controls (electrical engineering knowledge) is preferred.Essential Skills The individual aspiring to make a career in this field must have an engineering aptitude and must be creative to develop innovative HVAC designs. Excellent communication skills, good understanding and interpretation of the project requirements, delivering it on the given deadline and within the given budget standards, excellent organization, time management, and supervisory skills are some of the qualities that will help in ensuring success.Educational Requirements The most basic eligibility criteria are that an individual should have completed a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or an electrical degree or diploma (B.E. or DME Mechanical Engineering). Previous work experience related to HVAC systems designing, production, or service related work experience would definitely prove to be an advantage while applying for the desired job. Any other professional certification or licensure would be beneficial.Work Schedule Though the work schedule is standard, i.e., requiring him/ her to work for forty hours weekly, he/ she may need to work overtime in case the project needs to be completed on time.Experience and Salary Package Attractive Salary Package coupled with Incentive schemes are offered.
