Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to promote and sell the value of Ocean Agro brand products in the defined territory. In this position, youll also serve as a key business consultant and facilitate the placement of our commercial products at 50 + dealer locations. youll cultivate deep relationships with growers/Framers and deliver the Ocean Agro brand experience through specific recommendations. 10- 15 plus years of equivalent experience is required for this position.

Working in our dynamic organization producing new generation eco-friendly agro-inputs for more than 3 decades. Our products have superior performance and relatively low cost when compared to similar products. Our Research Development division develops new product almost every year.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement dealer business plans, manage forecasting, inventory management and product line demand issues, set the business direction, and coordinate follow-ups with dealers
  • Coordinate market development/fact plots and farm demonstrations with the assistance of large growers
  • Train the dealer sales force to sell value, deliver our brand experience and manage objections, mostly through ride along and joint farmer calls
  • Implement, promote and communicate marketing incentive programs
  • Actively manage inventory concerns as appropriate to meet business objectives
  • Demonstrate proof of product performance against the competition by being the champion of Ocean Agro brands and product/technical/agronomic knowledge
  • Establish side-by-side trial plots with targeted farmers to collect summarize performance data to optimize seed product recommendations
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree preferred in agronomy, agriculture, business, biology or related field or 15 plus years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years of professional sales/account management experience or one or more years of sales experience working in the agriculture industry
  • Demonstrate self motivation, initiative, assertiveness, and results orientation
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Previous experience successfully working in teams
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Desire for long term career advancement (i.e., Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Training, Finance)
  • Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel and live/work in a rural environment.
