Job Description

    The General Manager of Sales will lead and oversee the sales department of a manufacturing company, driving revenue growth and ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and close collaboration with production and product teams to meet and exceed sales targets.Location : Agra , UttarPradeshKey Responsibilities:Strategic Sales Planning: Develop Sales Strategies: Formulate and execute sales strategies aligned with the companys manufacturing goals and market opportunities. Market Research: Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in the manufacturing sector.Team Management and Leadership: Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the sales team, setting clear goals and performance expectations. Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess team performance, provide coaching, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and morale.Customer and Client Management: Key Accounts: Build and maintain strong relationships with major clients and key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and issues are addressed promptly. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets and customer segments.Sales Operations: Process Improvement: Optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, particularly in relation to manufacturing products and services. CRM and Sales Tools: Oversee the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other sales tools to track and manage sales activities and customer interactions.Collaboration with Manufacturing and Product Teams: Product Alignment: Work closely with manufacturing and product development teams to ensure sales strategies align with production capabilities and product offerings. Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback and communicate it to product and manufacturing teams to drive improvements and innovations.Budget and Financial Management: Sales Forecasting: Develop sales forecasts and budgets, aligning them with overall company financial goals. Revenue Tracking: Monitor sales performance against targets and manage the sales budget to ensure cost control and profitability.Reporting and Analysis: Sales Reporting: Prepare and present detailed sales reports to senior management, including performance metrics and strategic recommendations. Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Qualification :Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the manufacturing sector. Experience in leading a sales team and managing large accounts is essential.Skills : Understanding of manufacturing processes, products, and industry standards.
