Inventory Analyst

Job Description

An inventory analyst ensures a company maintains optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs. They act as the bridge between supply chain, procurement, and sales, using data analysis to forecast trends, reduce waste, and prevent shortages or overstocking
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Build complex reports to track stock levels, sales trends, and profitability, turning raw data into actionable strategies.
• Demand Forecasting: Predict future market demand based on historical data, seasonal trends, and upcoming promotions.
• Inventory Allocation & Replenishment: Determine optimal reorder points and allocate incoming stock across various departments or locations.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Perform routine inventory counts and audits to investigate and document stock discrepancies, losses, or damages.
• Cost Optimization: Monitor carrying costs and develop strategies to liquidate or process excess, obsolete, or high-value inventory.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure a smooth product flow and prevent supply chain bottlenecks
