AnAccounting Analystis a financial expert who specialises in the analysis of financial data. He gives insights and advice on the proper use of good decision-making by a company or firm. An analyst reviews financial statements like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. They create reports that help management make business decisions while following financial regulations.Accounting Analysts do more than just crunch numbers. They identify areas to cut costs, find ways to improve efficiency, and make sure the company stays within budget. This role is crucial for keeping the organization financially healthy in the long run.
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to obtain and request required data to analyze.
• Liaise with CFOs and other financial executives to understand the business objectives and improvements in finance they want to achieve.
• Download, Sort and analyze large volumes of accounting data.
• Present reports of findings once data has been analyzed.
• Notify management and executives of any and all suspicious or worrying information found when analyzing data.
• Use various accounting software and data analytics software to identify patterns, trends, and inconsistencies in the financial data.
• Understand the finance departments goals, objectives, and improvements.
• Work as part of a broader team to ensure the financial stability of the company.
• Prepare data, reports, and information required for forensic investigators where required.
• Assist with quarterly, yearly, and monthly reconciliation, including AR and AP reports
