Job Description

    As an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Satellite High School, your role will involve assisting in coaching the volleyball team and supporting the development of student-athletes. You will work closely with the head coach to ensure the teams success both on and off the court.- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting team practices- Provide individualized coaching to players to enhance their skills and performance- Support the head coach in game day preparations and strategy implementation- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the volleyball program- Uphold high ethical standards and promote sportsmanship among team members- Collaborate with other coaching staff and school administration to create a positive and inclusive team environmentQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited program/university in FLDOE certificate subject area- Florida Instructional Certification (any subject) or Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited program/university- Florida Athletic Coaching Certification (Professional 5 Year or Temporary 3 Year) issued by the State of Florida Department of Education or eligibility to apply upon offer extension- Two (2) years of documented sport-specific and age-level coaching experience, with extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing large groups of students/athletes(Note: Temporary Athletic Coaching Certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a five-year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate, completion of Sports Specific, Sports Medicine, and Sports Theory courses, along with a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, is required.),
