Healthcare Experience is must*PurposeThe Head of Procurement for Healthcare industry is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management activities across the group of hospitals, with a strong emphasis on medical and non-medical supplies. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services, while maintaining the highest quality standards. The incumbent will play a crucial role in managing relationships with medical technology and non-medical suppliers, supporting greenfield hospital projects, commissioning new facilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Adani in the healthcare sector, while working in a dynamic and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.Experience 12-15 years of progressive experience in the procurement, supply chain management focused on medical and non-medical procurement. Proven experience in managing greenfield projects, commissioning new facilities, and overseeing hospital procurement operations. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier management.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Head Procurement will have the following key roles and responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for medical and non-medical supplies, aligned with the organizations objectives. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strategic partnerships with medical technology and non-medical suppliers. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for medical and non-medical procurement and supply chain operations. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key medical technology and non-medical suppliers. Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop cost optimization strategies for medical and non-medical procurement. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to procurement, including those specific to the healthcare industry. Lead the procurement planning and execution for new hospital projects from the ground up. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and source all required medical and non-medical equipment, supplies, and services. Develop and implement commissioning plans, ensuring timely delivery and installation of procured items. Manage the transition from project commissioning to operational procurement activities. Oversee the procurement operations of existing hospitals, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management for medical and non-medical supplies. Collaborate with hospital departments to understand their needs and provide timely and cost-effective solutions. Implement inventory management strategies, monitor stock levels, and optimize order cycles. Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues or concerns. Ensure adherence to procurement best practices and ethical standards.
