Pipeline Controller

Job Description

A Pipeline Controller oversees the safe and efficient operation of pipelines, primarily in the oil and gas industry. They monitor pipeline systems, manage flow rates, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. They also respond to emergencies, coordinate maintenance, and maintain detailed records.Key Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and Control: Continuously monitor pipeline operations from a control room, using SCADA systems to track flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and other critical parameters.
• Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, identify potential problems, and initiate appropriate actions to mitigate risks, including coordinating with maintenance teams and emergency services.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs on pipelines and related equipment.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pipeline operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with field personnel, other departments, and external stakeholders regarding pipeline operations and any issues that arise.
