Job Description

    Security supervision refers to the oversight and management ofsecurity operations. These professionals may work for an organization or in a specific area that requires consistent monitoring.The role involves the direction, coordination, and control of security personnel to maintain a safe environment and protect the people or resources within it. Many well-known organizations take a proactive approach to security management to protect confidential assets and respond effectively to emergencies
    • Managing the Security Guards:The main concern of a security supervisor is to manage & train the security guards during their shifts. It should be ensured that guards are on time, well-dressed and allocated to the proper posts.
    • Arrangement and Presence: A professional security supervisor keeps records of the attendance and absence of the staff and makes quick alterations if needed. He also prepares duty schedules, manages holidays and assures constant security service at the site.
    • Arranging Training & Drills:The new security staff should be trained and have regular drills by the supervisors. This contains training for emergency removals, fire safety, entrance control and how to handle doubtful activities.
    • Guarding and observing:Apart from the organisational duties, security supervisors also execute regular guarding of the unsighted spots and tackle the doubtful activities or any security threats within the sites.
    • Informing Incidents and Verification:They are the first responders to any case of a violation or strange activity. For further inquiry they arrangeinformative reports, record the incidents and ensure testimony.
    • Cooperation with Clients:They act like a bridge between the security staff and the proprietor or manager. They narrate operations and incidents and sometimes suggest how to upgrade the security systems.
    • Handle Access Control:Supervisors observe carefully the entrance and exit points of the site. They confirm that only authorised persons can access, specifically in high-security zones.
    • Supervise Emergency Response:They must be well-trained and available around the clock to respond quickly to a fire alarm, a theft attempt or any health emergency and try to lessen risk.
    • Guarantee Compliance: The guards should be licensed, well-trained, and follow the safety rules. The security company assures that they are following the legal standards and company policies.
    • Well-Equipped and High-Tech Management: Supervisors encourage the staff to use modern security equipment like walkie-talkies, CCTV cameras, and metal detectors which are in working condition and logged properly.
