Staff Nurse

Job Description

The Staff Nurse provides high-quality patient care by performing clinical tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and administering treatments. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to support patients and their families in achieving optimal health outcomes.Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Care
   • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
   • Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall health to detect changes in patient conditions.
   • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
2. Clinical Duties
   • Perform diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and assist with medical procedures.
   • Maintain and operate medical equipment safely and efficiently.
   • Document patient care, progress, and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
3. Patient Education
   • Provide information and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatments, medications, and health management.
   • Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
4. Team Collaboration
   • Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
   • Assist in managing patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
5. Infection Control and Safety
   • Follow infection prevention protocols and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
   • Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
6. Emergency Response
   • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving care as necessary.
   • Participate in code responses and crisis situations as part of the healthcare team.
Key Qualifications
• Education:
  • Diploma or degree in Nursing (e.g., Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Licensure:
  • Current and valid nursing license (Registered Nurse certification).
• Experience:
  • Prior clinical or hospital experience is preferred but not always required.
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety and care.
