Urgent Opening for Leading Manufacturing Company @ Vijapur (Nr.Gandhinagar, Gujarat) Position Title: Mechanical/Metallurgy EngineerDepartment: Foundry Operations/Production EngineeringReports To: Foundry Manager/Operations HeadJob Summary:We are looking for a talented and innovative Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineer from IIT to join our casting manufacturing team. The role involves optimizing casting processes, developing new alloy compositions, ensuring quality compliance, and implementing modern technologies to improve foundry operations and product performance.Key Responsibilities:Casting Process Development:Design and optimize casting processes, including molding, melting, and pouring techniques.Evaluate and improve gating and riser systems to ensure defect-free castings.Material Analysis:Study and test the metallurgical properties of alloys and materials used in casting.Develop and recommend new alloy compositions for enhanced product performance.Process Optimization:Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.Analyze process flow to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in casting production.Quality Assurance:Monitor and ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO, or other relevant standards.Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT), metallurgical analysis, and defect inspections.Develop root cause analysis for defects and recommend corrective actions.Technology Implementation:Introduce automation in core making, molding, and other foundry processes.Use simulation tools like MAGMASOFT, ProCAST, or ANSYS for process optimization.Research and Development:Work with R&D to innovate in casting techniques and materials.Explore methods for lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant castings.Project Management:Lead cross-functional projects to scale up new casting designs from prototyping to production.Coordinate with procurement and design teams to ensure material and tooling readiness.Safety and Compliance:Ensure all foundry operations comply with environmental and safety standards.Train shop-floor teams on safety protocols and best practices.Qualifications:Education:B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from IIT.Experience:0-5 years of experience in casting, foundry, or metal manufacturing (fresh graduates with strong academic or project experience are welcome).Technical Skills:Proficiency in casting simulation software (e.g., MAGMASOFT, ProCAST).Strong knowledge of metallurgical principles, heat treatment processes, and alloy behavior.Hands-on experience with molding, core-making, and melting operations.Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage and lead projects.What We Offer:Competitive compensation and benefits.Opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects.A collaborative and growth-focused work environment.NOTE: WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY CHARGES FROM CANDIDATES.Interested Candidates share resume on: hr@steerway.inMo/Whatsapp- 76hidden_mobile8/70hidden_mobile3Please share with your Friends & other whats app groupThanks & Regards,Steerway BusinessConsultants.
