As an Applied Data Scientist at Cognyte, you will be part of a powerful team working closely with data engineers, research scientists, and software engineers to develop and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms. Your role is crucial in leveraging data-driven insights to enhance Cognytes products and provide valuable solutions to customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies such as NLP, computer vision, pattern recognition, Large Language Models (LLM), and more.Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models and algorithms, with a focus on LLM-related AI applications.- Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data processing pipelines for efficient model training and inference.- Fine-tune existing models and customize them to meet specific domains and customer requirements.- Conduct experiments, analyze model outputs, evaluate performance, and identify areas for improvement.- Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and AI research, and explore opportunities to leverage emerging techniques and technologies.- Communicate and present technical findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications Required:- MSc or PhD degree in computer science, data science, or related fields.- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist, applying machine learning techniques in practical projects.- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, with hands-on experience in model development and implementation.- Proficiency in programming languages like Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.- Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics.- Excellent collaboration skills with a proven ability to work effectively across teams.- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to address complex business problems.- Attention to detail and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.- Willingness to travel abroad up to 10% of the time.Cognyte is a global company with nearly 30 years of experience dedicated to developing leading investigative analytics software solutions to combat evolving technological and criminal trends.
