Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Amdocs, you will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems. You will work on specific modules, applications, or technologies and handle sophisticated assignments during the software development process.**Key Responsibilities:**- Be accountable for and own specific modules within an application.- Provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements.- Resolve critical or complex issues while ensuring code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable.- Present demos of software products to partners and internal/external customers.- Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, providing fixes, and workarounds.- Bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to software or business processes.- Represent/lead discussions related to product/application/modules/team.**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent.- 7-8 years of experience as a software engineer or a software support engineer.- Awareness of programming concepts and ability to write software code in at least one programming language.Amdocs offers you the opportunity to work on Amdocs OSS Product with ample opportunities for professional, functional, and technical growth. You will adhere to the organizations software development standards in an agile environment, lead tasks, development, and unit testing, and work closely with internal and external teams.**Technical Requirements:**- Excellent knowledge of Java / J2EE / JUNIT / IDE(Eclipse/IntelliJ) / Web Services (REST/SOAP) / XML /JSON / PL-SQL.- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, Azure, CICD.- Knowledge of Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Spring Boot, Cucumber, Elasticsearch/Kibana.- Ability to work in a challenging environment with a zero defect mindset.- Experience in Agile processes and functional knowledge in OSS area.**Behavioral Requirements:**- Independent thinking & behavior.- Excellent communication skills.- Ability to perform well under pressure.- Ability to analyze problems and suggest relevant solutions.- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.- Ability to assimilate knowledge quickly and efficiently.
