Job Description

    As an Asset Accounting Analyst at a global energy business, your role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely recording, collection, and processing of financial transactions related to asset accounting. Your responsibilities include:- Coordinate the prompt and accurate recording of financial transactions such as ledger entries, journal postings, and fixed asset postings in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.- Ensure timely delivery of processes assigned in asset accounting and reporting performance.- Monitor open and overdue items, and follow up accordingly with the appropriate teams.- Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations relevant to Asset Accounting practices.- Liaise with stakeholders and colleagues in different geographical locations to resolve any complex issues.- Participate in internal and external audits when required.- Adapt an agile mindset to handle critical and ad hoc queries raised by stakeholders.- Demonstrate proficiency with SAP and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.- Recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA.- Minimum of 4 years of experience in general or financial accounting, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Fixed Asset Accounting.- English language competency.You will have the opportunity to work towards the companys ambition to become a net-zero company by 2050 or sooner, contributing to a low-carbon future.
