Job Description

    As the National Operations Manager - Insurance at Muthoot Fincorp Limited, your role involves overseeing and managing day-to-day operational activities related to Insurance Products. You are responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and seamless client experiences within the Insurance department.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Operational Oversight** - Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Insurance department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. - Ensure high-quality client service by addressing client queries and issues promptly, managing client onboarding and offboarding processes, and maintaining strong client relationships. - Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.- **Reporting, Compliance and Risk** - Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure that all Insurance operations comply with relevant laws and regulations in the Indian financial industry. - Collaborate with risk management teams to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks associated with Insurance department activities. - Generate regular reports on operational metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and provide insights to senior management for decision-making. - Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted operations in case of unforeseen events. - Conduct due diligence on new clients, investment products, and counterparties to ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.- **Stakeholder and Team Management** - Supervise and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to operational standards. - Manage relationships with external service providers, vendors, and technology partners to ensure the smooth functioning of Insurance management operations.**Key Decisions Taken:**- Deciding on the procedures for client onboarding, including documentation requirements, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.- Decisions related to the selection, maintenance, and upgrades of the technology and systems used in Insurance management, ensuring they meet regulatory and security standards.- Deciding on the strategies and resources required to ensure business continuity in case of disasters or disruptions.- Decisions regarding the handling and resolution of client complaints and escalations.**Key Skills & Behavioural Attributes:**- Excellent knowledge of relevant financial software and systems.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge.- Client Focus.- Leadership and Team Management.- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making.- Behavioral Attributes - Driven and in alignment with the companys Purpose and core values.**Education / Experience:**- Graduate in Commerce/PG in Finance or Operations from reputed management schools would be preferred.
