Job Description

As a Data Science and Engineering professional at XPO India Shared Services, your role involves:- Conceiving and developing end-to-end solutions focusing on Data Science and Engineering- Utilizing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Deep Learning Algorithms, Statistical Concepts, Data modelling, Generative AI, Software Development, Cloud Computing, and Visualizations- Troubleshooting technical issues in existing processes and current development work- Collaborating with other roles and groups to ensure platform quality and project timelines- Improving shared standard patterns, templates, and artifacts for data science platform architecture- Mentoring team members on technical skills, best practices, and problem-solving approaches- Sharing technical approaches and best practices with other developersQualifications required for this role at XPO include:- A minimum of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, MIS, Engineering, Econometrics, Finance, Business, or a related field- 3-5 years of Data Science experience in delivering business solutions- Hands-on experience in areas such as Data Modelling, Data Integration, Data Analysis, SQL, Data Science, Geo Spatial, Finance, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Database Management- Advanced knowledge of IT software development methodologies and processes in an agile environment- Exposure to Generative AI and LLMs- Solid experience applying analytical methods such as regression, data classification, reduction, Bayesian inference, or other advanced machine learning techniques- Proficiency in technical database knowledge (BigQuery, Oracle) and experience optimizing SQL queries on large data- Advanced statistical theoretical and application experience- Proven experience in Exploratory Data Analysis and Visualization using R and Python (Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, Plotly, Matplotlib)- Familiarity with core principles of data modelling and data warehousing- Proficiency in Python, writing production-ready code, and a fundamental understanding of OOPs concepts- Exposure to ML Platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWSJoin XPO and contribute to something big.
