As a Senior Architect in Pune with Western Union, you will be part of the global product engineering leadership team, focusing on designing and contributing to API development for the Enterprise Integration Platform and APAC channel-driven strategic product rollouts. Your role is critical for enhancing the customer experience of existing products and accelerating the launch of new products by designing and building scalable systems that drive innovation and efficiency across the KYC and Compliance ecosystem.**Role Responsibilities:**- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure APIs for the enterprise platform connecting to various systems including customer-facing products, 3rd party systems, and regulatory compliance, risk, payments, back office, and other backend systems.- Collaborate with global stakeholders to design and develop a configuration-driven platform for regulatory compliance needs of channel-driven product country rollouts in the APAC region.- Ensure adherence to API security best practices, authentication, and industry standards compliance.- Guarantee that existing and new APIs meet global performance benchmarks and compliance standards, enabling faster product launches and superior customer experiences.- Focus on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and uphold code quality standards across the team.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and implement long-term fixes.- Drive technical excellence by mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across global teams.- Collaborate with stakeholders across Product and Technology to define, deliver, and operate technical solutions.**Role Requirements:**- 10 years of progressive experience delivering complex, mission-critical systems.- 7 years of software development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API, Sprint Batch, Core Java, microservices architectures, and event-driven architectures.- Solid understanding of Relational Database Management System like PostgreSQL.- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, etc.- Experience in designing and developing high-performance APIs deployed globally on cloud platforms like AWS.- Knowledge of modern software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.- Experience with DevOps practices, including source control, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.- Hands-on experience in domains such as Payments, Banking, or other Financial Services preferred.- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external partners globally.- Ability to develop and mentor talented teams to increase team efficiency and foster a sense of ownership.Western Union is committed to making financial services accessible globally, transforming lives and communities.
