Senior Operations Manager

Job Description

As an experienced Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of the warehouse and distribution center operations. Your responsibilities will include:- Ensuring action is taken on hazards, near-miss incidents, safety observations, suggestions, and opportunities to maintain a safe working environment.- Directing and managing the 3PL distribution center product and inventory movement to optimize efficiency.- Mentoring, managing, and supporting warehouse and operations management teams for seasonal and strategic planning.- Orchestrating information flow and execution of processes to improve compliance, consistency, and cost and time management.- Identifying cost and service impacts and making recommendations to support business initiatives.- Managing day-to-day operations, fulfilling customer SLAs, and aligning priorities with business partners.- Managing, directing, mentoring, and motivating the operational team to ensure high performance.- Implementing cost-effective operational solutions to improve efficiency and enhance service levels.- Reviewing current material handling methods and conducting operational audits for improvement.- Maximizing productivity, quality, and service through best practice techniques.- Providing senior management with information for effective decision-making on resource utilization.- Leading and assisting in various projects, including start-ups, transfers, and improvements.- Driving business development in the region and reporting product-related complaints promptly.- Monitoring implementation and documentation of ISO processes to maintain quality standards.- Maintaining a safe work environment and continuous upgradation of OH&S management system.- Handling audits, closure of non-conformance, and achieving operational objectives.- Identifying risks, facilitating safety campaigns, and motivating workers at all levels.- Conducting trainings to increase competency, awareness, and knowledge among the workforce.- Reviewing HIRA and taking actions to improve OH&S performance and mitigate risks.- Making decisions on local issues and reducing operational risks effectively.Your role will be pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and continuous improvement within the facility.
