Senior Retail Operations Manager - E-commerce

As a Senior Retail Operations Manager for our clients rapidly expanding e-commerce operations, your role is crucial in ensuring seamless order fulfillment, efficient inventory management, and exceptional customer experiences across all online channels. You will lead a distributed team, implement best practices in warehouse management, logistics, and supply chain, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned operations professional with a strong background in e-commerce and a passion for delivering results in a virtual environment.**Key Responsibilities:**- Develop, implement, and refine operational strategies to support e-commerce growth and efficiency.- Oversee daily operations of order processing, inventory management, warehousing, and shipping across multiple fulfillment centers.- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.- Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order accuracy, on-time delivery, cost per order, and inventory turnover.- Lead, train, and mentor a remote team of operations specialists and coordinators.- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within operational facilities.- Utilize technology and data analytics to identify trends, predict demand, and make informed operational decisions.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development, to ensure a cohesive customer journey.- Champion a culture of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.**Qualifications:**- Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years focused on e-commerce operations and fulfillment.- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale warehousing and logistics operations.- Strong understanding of inventory management systems (IMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).- Proven ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- Experience with project management and implementing operational improvements.- Familiarity with various e-commerce platforms and technologies.This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in India, with a primary focus on optimizing operations supporting customers in Delhi, Delhi, IN and beyond.
