Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Java, AWS)

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Autodesk, you will be joining an agile development team focused on building a seamless cloud data experience for customers. Your role will primarily involve backend development with expertise in Java and Spring, contributing to scalable and reliable cloud-based services. You will work within a self-sufficient Scrum team, taking ownership of features end-to-end and collaborating across functions.**Key Responsibilities:**- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring / Spring Boot- Work effectively as a member of a self-organized agile team, contributing to all aspects of software development- Design and implement reusable and modular components for existing applications and services- Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions- Identify performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and defects, implementing effective solutions- Contribute to frontend components when required for feature completeness- Utilize analytics to measure performance and monitor availability**Qualifications Required:**- 5 years of Backend Software Development with hands-on experience in Java and Spring / Spring Boot- Experience in building and maintaining complex, production-grade systems- Solid experience in designing REST APIs and working knowledge of AWS cloud services- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, ORM frameworks, Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns- Understanding of cloud architecture fundamentals such as scalability, resiliency, caching, logging, and observability- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, frontend concepts, and frameworks like Angular, React, Vue- Strong communication and analytical skills, self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently- Working knowledge of tools like Splunk, Jenkins, Docker, and exposure to testing frameworks and Agile practicesAt Autodesk, you will be part of a culture that values innovation and meaningful work.
