As a Platform Operations Engineering Manager at Rapid7, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead a team of software engineers in India as part of the companys global expansion. Your main responsibilities will include coaching and developing your team, setting priorities, and guiding them towards growth and success through mentorship and coaching. You will play a crucial role in supporting Rapid7s growth strategy in a culture that fosters innovation and continuous learning.Key Responsibilities:- Directly manage a team of Platform Operations Engineers by coaching and growing their skills, identifying growth areas, setting expectations, and providing feedback- Manage projects and communicate progress across engineering teams and leadership- Ensure quality standards are met and drive improvements in standardization, testing, monitoring, and alerting- Collaborate with UX, Product, and other development teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for customers- Kickstart new ideas, build proof of concepts, and jumpstart newly funded projectsQualifications Required:- 6 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a hands-on managerial role- Previous experience in managing engaged and high-performing software engineering teams, with a track record in developing and mentoring engineers at all levels- Strong design and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, security, and performance- Background in optimizing platform operations or experience driving standardization initiatives- Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levelsRapid7 is a cybersecurity company dedicated to creating a secure digital world for its customers, industry, and communities.
