Job Description

    HSE coordinators are responsible for overseeing the health, safety and environmental compliance of their organization. They commonly work with a wide range of departments to ensure that all employees are working in a safe environment and following proper procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.HSE coordinators may also be tasked with developing and implementing training programs for employees on topics such as emergency response procedures, hazardous materials handling, and other related issues.HSE Coordinator Job DutiesHealth, safety, and environment (HSE) coordinators have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
    • Coordinating safety training programs for employees
    • Communicating with other departments within the organization to make sure that their needs are being met
    • Reviewing accident reports to identify potential hazards and initiating corrective action plans
    • Investigating accidents and incidents to determine their causes and contributing factors to help prevent similar occurrences in the future
    • Recording and reporting occupational injuries and illnesses to regulatory agencies such as OSHA
    • Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations regarding safety training, inspections, and recordkeeping to prevent accidents in the workplace
    • Ensuring that employees understand safety procedures and are aware of potential risks in their work environment
    • Training employees in safe work practices and methods to reduce hazards in the workplace
    • Recommending policies that promote safety in the workplace
