Job Title: Safety Officer Location: Across India Industry Preference: EPC / Power SectorJob Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to ensure health and safety compliance across our construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety practices, conducting audits, managing risks, and ensuring adherence to all legal regulations and company policies.Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs as per organizational and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe practices or conditions and recommend corrective measures.
• Carry out risk assessments and hazard identification processes and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) across the site.
• Organize safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for site personnel.
• Maintain all records and documentation related to site safety, incident reports, training, and legal compliance.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, document findings, and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project teams to integrate safety measures into day-to-day activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local and national safety legislation, standards, and regulations.
• Perform internal safety audits and support third-party audits and inspections.
• Promote a culture of safety among workers and staff at all levels.
Qualifications and Experience:Education and Certification (any one of the following):
• B.E./B.Tech in any engineering discipline with a diploma in industrial safety (recognized by a state government) and a minimum of 2 years experience, or
• Diploma in engineering (any discipline) with a diploma in industrial safety (recognized by a state government) and a minimum of 5 years experience, or
• B.Sc. with a diploma in industrial safety (recognized by a state government) and a minimum of 5 years experience.
