Job Description

    Job Role and Responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager (ASM)An Area Sales Manager (ASM)is responsible for managing and driving sales in a specific geographical region by building and nurturing relationships with distributors, agents, and partners. The role involves strategizing to meet sales targets while ensuring compliance with the companys policies and delivering excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:
    1. Sales Management:Drive sales to meet or exceed assigned targets for the region,Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business goals,Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions if needed.
    2. Channel Partner Management:Identify, onboard, and manage agents, brokers, and channel partners,Provide support and training to channel partners to improve their productivity,Build strong relationships with partners to ensure loyalty and consistent business.
    3. Business Development:Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base in the region,Work on market penetration strategies and explore untapped potential,Develop relationships with corporate clients for group insurance products.
    4. Team Management:Recruit, train, and motivate the sales team in the region,Set performance benchmarks and conduct regular evaluations,Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve their goals.
    5. Customer Relationship Management:Ensure excellent customer service and quick resolution of customer grievances,Maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners,Gather and use customer feedback to improve service offerings.
    Key Skills and Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
    • 5 years of experience in insurance sales or a similar role, preferably in general insurance.
    • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including products and regulations.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
