Job Description

YOUR EMPLOYER - A leading, global firm with an illustrious range of financial and asset management services serving different market regions across the globe. RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Understanding the functioning of forecasting models and be able to challenge the model by conducting independent model assessment.
  • Understanding the input components (macros, business assumptions, model and overlays) that results in material forecast miss.
  • Coordinate closely with Forecasting model development teams to identify underperforming segments and enhance model accuracy.
  • Building challenger tools to increase accuracy of prediction of losses
  • Support model production and development as necessary.
  • Support all results through appropriate documentation.
  • Develop enhanced reporting through use of automation, if required, such as excel macros or SAS programming as needed.
  • Manage ad hoc analysis; starting with identifying the opportunities and issues, collecting data, analyzing and presenting the data
REQUIREMENTS-
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline; Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics or equivalent work/training is required; advanced degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of related analytical experience with 2+ years of hands on with SAS.
  • Strong hands on SQL programming and working knowledge of Tableau.
  • Deep credit risk experience in one or more US consumer credit portfolios (i.e. U.S. Mortgage, Home Equity, Credit Card, Automotive, Lease, Business Banking)
  • Knowledge of the Forecasting process, macroeconomics and finance preferred
  • Strong technical and statistical skills. Ability to synthesize data and communicate to leadership in a concise and effective manner, both verbally and written
  • Focused attention to detail, analytical & inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior-level individuals.
8 years of relevant experience in Credit Risk forecasting. An opportunity to show exceptional expertise as a part of model diagnostics team, understanding and developing forecasting models with deep understanding of Credit risk in one or more US consumer Credit portfolios (Mortgage, credit cards, business banking, home equity). You will support the development of tech-enabled products to help management in decision making.
