We are on the hunt for a talented Cloud Architect to manage our client s cloud architecture and position in cloud environments. You will play a strategic role in maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, and management networks.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.Responsibilities: Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process. Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software. Develop and organize cloud systems. Work closely with IT security to monitor the companys cloud privacy. Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner. Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud. Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company. Cloud infrastructure design and develop detailed architecture models to host test, development, and production environments Plan for system and application migration(s) to the cloud, adhering to technical and business requirements Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems Optimize cost of cloud solutions, infrastructure footprint. Communicate effectively through strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments You will join a project team and focus on adding hands-on technical expertise, ensuring outcomes meet the highest technical and agile standards. You will act as the SME on Cloud and related technologies for the project delivery team. Strong experience in a multi-disciplined team is critical as is your ability to clearly communicate complex technology solutions.Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field. 15+ years experience designing, executing and supporting IT cloud solutions. Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work. Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.AWS Specific: Extensive experience in the following: Automation and configuration management using native AWS tools such as CloudFormation, EC2 Systems Manager, and AWS Config. Writing custom CloudFormation templates. Writing custom IAM policies and configuring IAM roles. Creating and using Lambda functions. Configuring AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Config, Guard Duty, Inspector, KMS, Kinesis Stream, SNS, SES, Route 53 and other AWS services. Configuration of all aspects of EC2, ECS, VPC, and storage solutions including S3, Glacier, EBS volumes and snapshots. IAM identity federation. Cross-account delivery of logs and events from AWS services. Strong experience with Linux, Windows, and Active Directory. Understanding of and experience with load balancing and HA configurations. Ability to gather requirements, lead technical discussions, manage complex technical projects, and lead technical teams.
