Job Description

Job DescriptionResponsibilities

  • Participate as part of a project team to design, code, test and implement moderately complex systems to support the BI application and data integration portfolio.
  • Conduct design, planning and development across multiple platforms including relational database management systems, reporting systems and data integration systems.
  • Assist in defining project timelines and ensure solutions are delivered within project constraints.
  • Monitor and report to management on project status and help identify issues that may impede the attainment of organizational goals; recommend and implement corrective measures to address areas of risk.
  • Assist in driving team efficiency by adhering to technical team standards and conventions.
  • Engauge in maintenance, change request and support efforts to ensure that existing systems run efficiently and continue to meet dynamic business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help define scope and build requirements that fulfill organizational business needs.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Software Engineering (or related field)
  • 6 + years of experience in a BI / Data Analytics role.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how corresponding technical solutions support these underlying business drivers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and foster group cooperation
  • Strong Database design and data warehouse knowledge (SQL Server)
  • Advanced proficiency in working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience in writing and troubleshooting complex SQL statements
  • Solid project and time management skills; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Bonus Skills
  • C# / .NET Scripting skills
  • Experience with DAX expressions
  • Knowledge and experience in leveraging machine learning / predictive analytic techniques and technologies.
  • Experience and knowledge of front-end reporting applications (i.e.: Power BI, SSRS, Tableau etc)
