Job Title Director - ArchitectureThis person will act as a trusted advisor and recommend actionable architecture solutions in support of the business initiatives balancing technology direction in HCG QA.The Purpose of This RoleThe Fidelity Health Care Group helps customers confidently make decisions that result in better health and financial outcomes, allowing them to thrive.As an architect(Grade 7) you will be responsible for advancing our strategic vision, direction, and design/delivery for the technology supporting our product lines. This includes driving innovation and architecture strategies and automation roadmaps across our organization. You will need to be a progressive thinker and innovative and will be responsible for designing and developing generic test automation architecture that changes the way automation is developed and maintained. You will also be responsible for maintaining the in-house software utilities as part of the Automation and Quality Engineering function within Fidelity s Healthcare group .The Value You Deliver

• Leading the automation to scale of our technology strategy and roadmaps
• Facilitating a culture of strong engineering and collaboration across our business
• Overseeing the strategic alignment of our technology asset portfolio
• Representing our organization with enterprise technology and other business units
• Providing direction and technical supervision to the QA organization for key architecture strategies
• Advancing the currency and compliance of our technology platforms
• Identifying integration patterns and points between design areas that can help build effective automated end-to-end suites integrated to the pipeline
• Providing support to project teams on design and application integration
• Increasing DevOps maturity curve for the QA Organization

Responsibilities of the role includes

• Strong organization leader with deep knowledge and competency in current technology stacks such as Java, Python, Spring framework, open source database, Selenium, REST/SOAP API, cloud capabilities.
• Lead on Design, develop, document, and maintain automated test and tools and in-house software testing utilities.
• Adhere to established software engineering best practices and standards.
• Lead , Develop and support full end to end automation process for DevOps integrated with Enterprise pipeline components
• Collaborate with other technical resources to:
  • Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
  • Design and develop automation and/or software tools.
  • Understand HCG product/projects and automation requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maintainability of automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of testing data requirement and data tools
• Understand and apply test driven development and behavior driven development.
• Deliver accurate and maintainable code for test automation and software utilities.
• Work closely with IT Product/Application teams in technology selection, evaluation, recommendation and configuration
• Build and maintain effective relationships with product managers, HCG architects and technical leads for individual products
• Evaluate and recommend technology and automation frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market
• Regularly provides guidance, training and mentoring to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations

• Ability to perform technical and functional analysis of testing structures and architecture
• 10+ years of software development or hands-on test automation development using Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar language with an industry leading tools (Selenium, Cucumber, restAssured, Postman, or similar)
• Experience with the CI/CD DevOps process and implementation of similar capability
• Experience managing a diverse and distributed team across multiple domestic and international locations

Skilled capability to test and debug test automation and software tools developed by self and othersThe Skills that are Good To Have for this role
