Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversees the development of market, business opportunity and product line analyses to meet business needs.
  • Schedules, organizes, and implements the annual budget process, including the preparation of more complex seminars, guidelines, and worksheets for departments to support the short and long term planning and budget process for the core business.
  • Evaluates Return on Investment (ROI)/Earned Value (EV) to assist in financial analysis and planning and make recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Coordinates, compiles and presents variance analysis along with conclusions to management on a monthly basis. Makes recommendations for financial planning as appropriate to meet business needs.
  • Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget to ensure compliance.
  • Conducts and oversees fully loaded actual/forecasted cash flow and profitability analysis on various business unit programs to ensure programs are sufficiently profitable.
  • Oversees the maintenance of annual operating and capital budgets/forecasts, including updates of actuals, detailed modeling and consolidation of new business opportunities. Oversees updates to quarterly models to include last quarter actuals, new business, new departments and new computations of operating results.
  • Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
  • Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field preferred
  • Nine or more years of finance or accounting experience
  • Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience working with accounting principles and accounting software and databases
  • Experience working with financial analysis
