Job Description

KPMG Global Delivery CenterKPMG Global Delivery Center (GDC) is a robust global delivery platform comprising a talent pool of over 1,700 professionals in Bangalore and Kochi. GDC provides Audit & Advisory professional services to KPMG US & Canada while complying with both regulatory and KPMG US Audit Engagement Team (ET) standards. In addition, it provides services in various industries/sectors including Investment Management, Insurance, Banking, Building Construction & Real Estate, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Healthcare & Lifesciences, and Consumer Markets.By incorporating GDC into the delivery model, KPMG member firms are realizing competitive advantage through the consistent quality and efficiency, thereby enabling the US and Canada Audit ETs to focus on high-risk audit areas.Team Overview The position in discussion is with the GDC Technology Solutions (GTS) practice under KPMG Global Services which provides Audit & Advisory professional services to KPMG US, Canada & India while complying with both regulatory and KPMG US Audit ET standards. Furthermore, GTS provides services in Core Data & Analytics, Intelligent Automation and Product Integrity across various industries/sectors including Investment Management, Insurance, Banking, Building Construction & Real Estate, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Healthcare & Lifesciences, and Consumer Markets. Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesignation ManagerReporting to Associate Director / DirectorRole type Individual contributorEmployment type Full-time Techno-functional role in Audit Analytics Platform team that requires:

  • Developing expertise in leading a group of staffs along with project management skills, experience in audit or accounting and great technical skills to design, develop, test, review and document the audit solutions as per the existing framework
  • Develop solutions which will increase process efficiencies and assist Audit teams to perform Risk assessment and substantive procedures using the stack of approved tools and technologies
The Manager will be predominantly responsible for:Development
  • Build professional relationships and provide business with confidence through sucessful delivery of innovative and automated solutions to improve efficieny and quality within the firm
  • Project management and maintaining good relationships by addressing the business requirement, managing resources, preparing budgets, milestones, project workflows and expansion of business opportunities
  • Organize, analyze and discuss complex ideas, methodology considerations or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations when implementing automated solutions to ensure the teams appropriately document, apply the methodology when developing, testing and executing the solutions
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder view and manage variety of viewpoints to build consensus, and create positive outcomes through common solutions
  • Supervise, lead and assists associate and senior staffs in developing, testing and reviewing industry wide or engagement specific tools and solutions
  • Develop and demonstrate the understanding of the SAT (Software Audit Tools) framework while working with Audit Technology Organization (ATO), Execution and Methodology (E&M), Solution Architects, Developers and Solution Integrity teams
  • Learn, develop and maintain skillsets required to understand the developed audit solutions including an understanding of audit procedures, data preparation and transformations, data modeling concepts, visualization techniques, design principles, etc.
  • Advice on presenting finding and insights in creative ways to facilitate the understanding of data across a range of technical and non-technical audience. Contribute to exploration and experimentation in data visualization
  • Coordinate testing of new solution releases working with the Solution Integrity team
  • Identify, assess and manage risks to successful completion of the project
  • Ensure that the solutions are delivered within the budget & time and documentation is up to mark as per the standards
People
  • Encourage the team to take up the certification program as per the current & aspiration skills and submit all the completed learnings in training submission form
  • Keep track of improvement points noted during each project and have timely discussions with the professionals
  • Build positive relationships including all the stakeholders like Engagement Teams, Business Unit leads and Client contact
  • Support leadership in identified areas and proactively drive the action items for effective results and people well-being
  • Volunteer to facilitate the new hires training on KPMG tools. Proactively reaching out to associates and providing guidance and support on KPMG process and self QA
  • Be proactive reach out to Managers / ADs discussing involvement in ongoing and new initiatives based on individual interests and aspirations
  • Demonstrate accountability and willingness to stretch beyond regular hours when needed
  • Work towards nominating self/team for different initiatives
  • Inculcate and exhibit KPMG values in everyday conduct. Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior all the times
  • Coach new members in the team on day to day work
  • Seek feedback from Performance Manager Lead and team members for self-development
  • Provide effective leadership to the team and take appropriate action when performance deviates
  • Actively participate in increasing the GPS (Global People Survey) score
  • Accountable for optimal utilization of the team and proactively seeks opportunities for the team
  • First point of contact for the team and stakeholders for any escalation
Technical - Functional Skills
  • 8-12 years of experience managing a team of 5-10 professionals
  • Big4experience working with General / Sub-Ledger analysis. Involved in development of risk assessment / substantive routines for Audit
  • Good understanding of Audit methodology and accounting procedures with focus on specific Industries / Sectors along with the tools and technology used in developing the audit solutions.
  • Intermediary knowledge of ETL, Visualization (Power BI, Qlikview) and Database concepts
  • Data Management and Data Analysis skills
  • Proven technical expertise in development of Alteryx workflows (Alteryx Designer Core certified), Microsoft Power BI, Visual Basic or Excel Macros
Enabling Skills
  • Understands the audit and accounting procedures along with the tools and technology used in developing the audit solution
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills with knowledge in project management tools such as JIRA, Clarizen, Confluence or Microsoft Project
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, business leaders and delivery leads, and promote effective cross-team alliance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of professionals across the firm which includes partners, directors, senior manager, managers and/or subject matter experts
  • Attention to detail; Quick learning ability and adaptability
  • Willingness and capability to deliver within tight timelines
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders keeping them updated on the progress
  • Flexible to work timings and willingness to work in different projects/technologies

Education Requirements
  • Professional Accounting Qualification such as CA/CPA/CMA OR
  • MBA from reputed college with good understanding of accounting / auditing concepts
