As leader of this team, you will be expected to not just be a problem solver, but also be the one who will define a problem and then own it from there on.What is can you expect from the Role 1. You will work on initiatives that will cut across different businesses e.g. Books to Video Games to Toys2. Mix of short term projects with quick turn-around and some long term projects that would possibly redefine the way business is done going forward3. Projects will be a mix of defect reduction cost improvement, efficiency initiatives OR customer delight improving selection, replication OR pricing4. More often than not these initiatives will require active engagement with multiple stakeholders CMs/PnFs, Operations, TRMS, CS, other businesses across A.in and external sellers5. You will engage actively with Senior Leadership and in some cases with global teams6. You will play the role of a thinker and an implementer in equal measure the success in this role is as much about implementing as it is about conceptualizing or strategizingWhat is expected from the individual 1. Ability to work with large data, dive-deep, identify issues analytical thinking is a must2. Every big decision you make will involve a conflict ability to visualize the conflict, addressing the parties involved and making balanced decisions3. Ability to engage with multiple stake holders from across different teams in Amazon and influence them4. Ability to take complete end to end ownership of an initiative till execution; subsequently setting up processes for operating teams seamlessly take over and execute on a daily basis5. Ability to define project deliverables, timelines and set up mechanisms to track inputs and outputs for the projects; strong communication skills6. Strong business instincts to identify waste in the system, Ability to put structure around ambiguous problems, conceptualize the solution and break the solution phased deliverables.7. Proven ability to lead a teamThe candidate is expected to have 8+ years of experience post MBA. Experience in operations or supply chain, category management OR program management will be preferred, 1. 5+ years in program management, operations/supply chain or category management2. Proven track record of owning and delivering projects/programs3. Proven track record of working with cross category stakeholders.4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills5. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.6. Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions.7. Bias for action; Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.8. Innovative; loves to challenge status quo and reinvent on behalf of our customers9. Bachelor s degree1. MBA degree2. SQL, Excel3. Takes initiative. Doesnt wait to be asked.
