Job Description

Team and Division - Growth and Partnerships, Large Scale Educational ProgrammesReporting To - Associate Vice President, Large Scale Educational Programmes (reports to the CEO)Location- Anywhere, preferably Ahmedabad and BangaloreAbout the TeamThe Growth and Partnerships team is the revenue-generating arm of the Large Scale Education Programmes, that exclusively works with low-income or government schools. It takes expertise in assessments, educational research, and technology-based personalized adaptive learning and builds solutions/programmes/products contextualised for the B-o-P settings. This is done in collaboration with state governments, international grantmakers, corporate foundations, and NGOs. Over the two decades, LSEP has undertaken over 80+ projects with 35+ clients (16+languages, 40+ detailed studies published) across geographies, socio-linguistic backgrounds in India and abroad, for more than 10 million students across different grades.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe role is to take an existing implementation that is touching 40,000 children in 200 government schools in 6 states and evangelize it to grow 100x to 4 million children in 15 States in 1-2 countries over the next 3-5 years.You would do this by:1. Raising philanthropic funding from corporate CSR heads - more than Rs. 20,000+ Crore is spent annually by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and education is the largest chunk of that2. Raising funding from international foundations and multi-lateral aid agencies (E.g. USAID, UKAid, UNICEF, World Bank, etc) that are interested in funding social development projects3. Winning government tenders for learning softwareExperience RequiredMust have: 1. 5+ years of experience in sales (including cold-calling, seeking appointments and doing meetings, proposal writing, finalizing contracts and winning repeat business)2. Fluent verbal and written communications in English3. Experience in social sector/education sector Preferred:1. Experience in B2B/Institutional Sales2. Experience in managing government relations or doing government sales3. Proficiency in communicating in Hindi (for negotiating with govt. officials)Key Skills1. Sales aptitude2.
