Job Description

    • The Role:
    • DataOperations Manager/AM
    • Key Responsibilities:
    • Project Delivery: Lead and manage complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring each phase is executed according to project specifications. Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines, resolving issues and obstacles promptly.Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans that outline project timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables. Regularly update project plans, ensuring the team is on track with key deadlines and objectives. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure their expectations align with project goals and timelines.Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and assess their impact on the project. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent or minimize project risks. Monitor and address issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.Budgeting & Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively. Track project expenses and ensure the project remains within budget. Allocate appropriate resources, including team members and tools, to ensure timely project delivery.Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and stakeholders. Provide regular updates to stakeholders, reporting on project progress, challenges, and risks. Manage expectations and ensure that stakeholders are satisfied with the progress and outcomes of the project. Agile Project Management: Utilize Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) to manage and deliver project tasks iteratively. Foster a collaborative environment where Agile practices such as daily stand-ups, sprints, and retrospectives are effectively executed. Adjust plans based on iterative feedback and continuous improvement cycles.Team Collaboration: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and cooperation among team members. Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and problem-solving. Conduct team meetings and performance reviews, ensuring team members are equipped to succeed in their roles.
    • Skills Required:
    • Proven experience in a similar managerial role within logistics, freight, or a data-heavy environment. Brokerage knowledge with an understanding of customs, tariffs, and international shipping regulations is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data management tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex data sets. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
    • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
    • 4 to 7 years of managerial work experience in handling logistics, and freight for a similar industry Understanding of regulatory requirements within international shipping and customs brokerage processes.
    • Familiarity with reporting tools and data analysis techniques.
