Job Description

    CIB Custody Operations Change and Transformation - Project Manager II J.P. Morgan s Securities Services Operations services clients across the CIB covering Global Custody, Fund accounting, Transfer Agency, Client Account Services, Client billing operations and Network management. It has a Global Custody network spanning 100 markets, with Custody and Asset Servicing with AUC of $ 28+ Trillion USD and Depositary Receipt solutions.J.P. Morgan provides complete suite of Custody & Middle Office product offering for our institutional clients spanning across Trade & Settlements; Asset Servicing; Safe keeping; Stock Borrowing & Lending; Litigation Services; Digital Channels for Client Reporting and Direct Custody in select markets.Custody Operations Change & Transformation function sits within Securities Services Operations & partners with multiple Operations, Change, Product Development & Technology teams to ensure successful delivery of multi-year, cross-functional platform modernization agenda. The team is directly responsible for driving Operations Transformation Projects by leveraging emerging technology, Efficiency agenda, Operations readiness for regulatory changes / New Product launches; & client on-boarding. Role Description: We are looking for highly skilled & self-motivated individuals with CIB Domain experience with primary responsibility for driving Change agenda on select operational objectives. The individual will be expected to ensure all deliverables are met per the Change delivery program timeframes. They will also be key in ensuring cross function partnership with all locations within the distributed operating model - building communication lines and ensuring all issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner.The successful candidate must have proven track record of having worked in Change roles and delivered on Transformation programs successfully. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge and experience in latest data and digital tools like Alteryx, UiPath and Instabase. Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills partnering with senior stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage strategic program throughout the Custody Operations business. Key Responsibilities: Functional: Service Delivery & Client Focus:
    • Stakeholder management and collaboration across Product, Operations, Technology &, Service partners globally
    • Functional responsibilities to deliver on Change and Transformation agenda that requires the candidate to work in a matrix operating model working in close partnership with colleagues across sites globally
    • Help analyze system infrastructure and existing process flows to determine gaps or opportunities for productivity improvement
    Operational Excellence & Innovation:
    • The candidate will be required to drive innovative strategic solutions for efficient operations and prioritize key technology enhancements
    • The candidate will be responsible to identify automation opportunities which will lead to significant business impact leading to financial saves, best practice sharing, reduce both manual effort and risk
    • Be able to convert knowledge of industry, business into a competitive advantage
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with Technology partners to improve the pace of execution, quality, efficiency & consistency of services across global operations
    People & Communication

    Risk & Control Governance
    • Work closely with business partners and Controls Managers in driving/ implementing an effective, robust proactive and sustainable controls program to proactively manage risks to the business
    • Ensure compliance to firm policies (registration / documentation) while leveraging new age tools to minimize manual touchpoints / repetitive tasks
    • Institute a strong governance framework locally in the region and metrics which are consistent with the globe to ensure strong focus on quality, delivery and enhancing client experience
    Qualifications; Experience & Skill Set
    • The candidate should have experience of having worked in large, distributed teams with work experience in Testing, Software Engineering & Securities Services domain involving Trade & Settlements; Asset Servicing; Cash & FX; Reconciliation & Reporting
    • A track record of hands-on experience with managing change program & implement new business processes and controls
    • Strong knowledge with corporate and investment banking process, product, and systems
    • Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects/ initiatives
    • Strategic mindset with a fundamental desire to drive efficiency
    • Be hands-on with driving automation and tech solutions
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Prior experience with automation and new age tools like Tableau, Alteryx, UI Path & Process mapping tools
    • Conceptual knowledge of ML coding languages and algorithms
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical stakeholders of the organization
    • Ability to partner with demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations while developing strong working relationships with them
    • Understanding of operational risks and related controls, audit and internal control framework
    • Confidence to challenge, and be challenged, whilst remaining with a positive can-do outlook
    • Independently motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, while working effectively in a team setting
    Business and Subject Matter Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of project life cycle and its critical control points
    • Financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle
    • Subject matter expertise in Custody and Prime Brokerage products
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Projects, (PMP license is a value add)
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred
