Job Description

What you ll achieveAs a Service Delivery Engineer, you will provide world-class delivery support to our customers by building an in-depth knowledge of our customers priorities and initiatives and becoming a trusted advisor that avoids customer impact and facilitates continuous improvement. You will identify potential sales and growth opportunities and will partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects.You will:

  • Be responsible for service delivery costs, service level and coordination of resources
  • Develop and maintain direct customer and broader service delivery relationships
  • Assist in implementing delivery management process improvements
  • Target opportunities for growth within the customer environment

  • In-depth knowledge and 8+ years of experience in Dell EMC Data Protection Product suites (Networker, Avamar, DPA, DPC, Data Domain, Power Protect)
  • Knowledge on module-based backup such as Oracle, SQL, NDMP and VADP over Networker and Avamar, Power Protect and DPA custom report config
  • Performance Tuning, Cloning configuration, troubleshooting, Staging, Media Management, Disaster Recovery and new device provisioning in production.
  • Expertise in design and implementing DR, Replications/Clones, High Available backup infrastructure solutions (BCP)
  • Technical Audit of DataProtection infrastructure. Identify gaps and recommend Service Improvements.
  • Expertise in Cloud Integration backups using EMC DataProtection products
Desirable Requirements
  • Sound knowledge on Scripting to Automate manual efforts (Shell, Python etc.) Experience of using Ansible is highly preferred.
  • Skills on Storage, NAS and Virtualization will be added advantage
