Job Description

As a Senior Applications Developer, you will drive the component s development efforts. You will participate in all facets of the development cycle for AWMs Performance Measurement and Attribution application. You will partner closely with the co-located and global business partners, and also the broader AWM technology team. You will ensure that your Deliveries adhere to coding, architectural, and security standards as defined throughout Asset Management.

  • Be a driver of change help the team adopt new technologies/platforms/processes, as per the firm mandate.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand the project architecture and integration with other Java implementations.
  • Develop scalable and manageable java components/applications.
  • Active Participation in the Dev Modernization agenda
  • Active involvement in project engagements, client-facing communications and meetings ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with users to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations
  • Research and evaluate solutions and make recommendations.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies for the end-to-end delivery
  • Participate in the broader LOB/Firm-wide initiatives
The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.Key Skills
  • 9+ Years hands-on experience in developing R , Java, Spring, Maven, Spring Boot
  • Experience with JPA, REST Web Services, JSON, JMS
  • Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
  • Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
  • Experience with TDD & BDD
  • Good understanding of Java concurrency
  • Experience with UI technologies, eg. AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery
  • Cloud skills prior experience doing Development in a Cloud environment. Demonstrate understanding of Cloud architecture and requirements.
Desired Skills
  • Business acumen especially in the finance domain
  • Knowledge of Jira or other project management tools
  • Experience using GIT for Source code management
  • DevOps experience
The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes:
  • Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation
  • Team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Organization skills, be able to prioritize task based on priority level
