Job Description

Senior Engineer, Service Delivery (I7)What you ll achieveAs a Service Delivery Engineer, you will provide world-class delivery support to our customers by building an in-depth knowledge of our customers priorities and initiatives and becoming a trusted advisor that avoids customer impact and facilitates continuous improvement. You will identify potential sales and growth opportunities and will partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects.You will:

  • Develops and cultivates strong customer relationships. Holds responsibility for achieving the Virtustream Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction for every customer. Expected to have strong customer-facing skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
  • Contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.
  • Proficient in working directly with highly technical customers and managing customer expectations.
  • Adheres to and utilizes proper Escalation and Change Control procedures. Prepares, maintains, and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports by published procedures
  • Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of EMC and industry products through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars. Actively works to educate others on potential problems and resolutions.

  • 6+ years of Experience in remote IT Infrastructure support of global enterprise clients
  • Strong 5+ years experience with VMware ESXi, , vCenter, SRM, VSAN, NSX V/T is expected. This experience should include the planning, deployment, configuration and administration of host systems and virtual machines
  • 4+ years experience with Vblock, VxRack and VxRail. This experience should include the planning, deployment, configuration and administration.
  • Expert in managing End-to-end infrastructure and IT management for Converged/HCI, Storage, Cloud Applications, Platform Infrastructure, Data Protection
  • Exposure to Vmware Cloud foundation technologies on Dell Platforms (HCI VxRail, VxBlock, Compute, Storage and Networking)
Desirable Requirements
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred
  • EMCSA, EMCTA Storage Certifications preferred
