As a senior security professional, you will work closely with product engineering and other business functions to assess and improve the security of their existing and proposed work environments.Being a subject matter expert, you will be required to use your skills and experience to partner with multiple IT peer organizations and internal client groups in the pursuit of achieving business enabling architectures that protect the enterprise from unnecessary risk.Broad knowledge of security principles must be combined with a practical understanding of computing systems across multiple operating systems, data storage, network controls, and fundamental infrastructure that s typical within large global enterprises.Because all engagements will require a close partnership with professionals across IT and relevant business functions, this position requires strong interpersonal skills along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.ResponsibilitiesOwn the evaluation and approval process for network and firewall exception requests Palo Alto / PaloAlto / PAN / Next Gen FirewallAct as primary security partner for product engineering across EMEA & APACWork closely with IT Architecture, Networking, and Engineering support teamsDesign secure solutions for complex environments that focus on workflow enablementUnderstand and document all non-standard configurations across EMEA & APACAssess the security of third party applications or products prior to their introduction into WDActively participate in company acquisition integrationsIn-depth knowledge of networking security controls including L3 and L7 firewallsStrong knowledge of computer operating systems including Windows and LinuxFoundational knowledge of security principles in all areas of IT infrastructure and workflowsProven ability to conduct security assessments of internal and external solutionsProven ability to author consumable reports of security findingsExperience with software and hardware product engineering workflowsExcellent interpersonal and professional relationship skillsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced education in technology such as Computer Science or Information Security3+ years Info Security experience and 10+ years technology experiencePractical knowledge of Cloud SaaS & IaaS security controlsFundamental knowledge of data storage systems and delivery protocolsFundamental knowledge of VMware and infrastructure virtualizationFundamental knowledge of MS Active Directory and SCCMCISSP certificationCISA certification,
