Role Responsibilities The job holder will be a part of a new Risk Governance hub being created in Bangalore India, focussing on support for Reputational Risk. The candidate will support the Reputational Risk team with a number of activities including record management, governance and MI and reporting.The role holder will work in close alignment with a dedicated onshore manager that covers content driven topics and senior stakeholder management.Reporting

  • Support the team with monthly reports to Group, SCB UK, and regional committees including:
    • Reputational Risk trends by business segment, region and sector
    • Preparation of weekly status report on pending and recently closed escalations for Reputational Risk Team Leads and ERM Management Team
    • Preparation of Quarterly and Annual Reporting requirements for Committees
Reputational Risk intranet maintenance
  • Ensure intranet page (Bridge Space) is updated with most recent documentation, assessment forms, guidance notes, training materials
Operational Risk support
  • Execution of monthly control sample testing for Very Low/Low rated Reputational Risk Assessments in line with Operational Risk obligations
  • Summarize the results of control sample testing and analyze for trends
  • Follow-up on non-compliant CST and maintain records of repeat offenders.
  • Complete initial reviews of Gross Risk Assessments and Residual Risk Assessments where Reputational Risk is the Risk Owner and summarize analysis for Risk Owner
Reputational Risk Escalation Support
  • Complete daily download of RRMAs from the SharePoint site and notify Reputational Risk Team of any new Medium or above cases requiring action/follow-up.
  • Respond to Medium Rated Reputational Risks with notification e-mail sent to the Credit Risk Control
  • Follow-up on BCA/SharePoint access requests or Rep Risk Assessment Form troubleshooting
  • Respond to manual submissions of RRMAs to the Group Reputational Risk Inbox.
  • Log manual RRMA submissions in the excel tracker and save e-mail responses into escalation archives
Reputational Risk Case Management
  • Complete initial reviews and triage of RRMAs
  • Support 2LOD in case management, research and reviews as requested
  • Complete initial reviews of Vendor assessments and adverse media monitoring results.
Maintenance of Excel and SharePoint Site Data
  • Maintain archives and up-to-date log of all Rep Risk escalation data
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, pivots and preferably macros
Reputational Risk Information systems
  • Develop competency in investigating queries, using the Bank s reporting system (RiskView) and engaging with Business and Risk Reporting team to identify issues and provide resolution.
Risk Governance
  • Provide support for the effective administration of the Risk Governance tool and the SCB rule book for intuitive access to Control Framework Documents (RTFs, policies, standards).
  • Assist drafting documentation of priority reports, critical risk measures and critical data elements for BCBS 239 compliance implementation program.
  • Aid in the drafting, tracking and logging of documents/materials as evidence for BCBS 239 compliance, including for reporting requirements, data quality framework and infrastructure requirements.
  • Liaise with Internal/External Audit for Reputational Risk requirements with regard to aspects including, but not limited to terms of reference, audit trail etc.
  • Creating team procedures for new processes and ensuring the procedure documents are current and reflect the latest process.

The role holder should bring the following experience and capabilities:
  • Market Knowledge: Strong experience in Risk Management (experience with Environmental, Social & Governance risk management preferred)
  • Good communicator, in particular written communications in English
  • Ability to explain complex matters in simple and intuitive terms
  • Ability to track and report progress updates of multiple areas against milestones and highlight key issues
  • Collaborative; working as part of a broader team to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach
  • Good organizer of incoming requests within the team
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the Groups core values.
