We also work closely with Sales and Global Services colleagues to develop strategic account growth plans, and to identify and pursue sales opportunities.Join us as an Engineer on our Professional Services team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieveAs a Service Delivery Engineer, you will provide world-class delivery support to our customers by building an in-depth knowledge of our customers priorities and initiatives and becoming a trusted advisor that avoids customer impact and facilitates continuous improvement. You will identify potential sales and growth opportunities and will partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects.You will:

  • Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. Prepares integration plans.
  • Prepares activity and progress reports for server utilization.
  • Works collaboratively with various members of the team and other Infrastructure resources in support of the client.
  • Conducts special analyses and projects as required.
  • Performs related functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
  • Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise.
  • Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Identifies and resolve business issues; escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with the other team members.
  • Availability to work in 24x7 shifts.

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP HANA implementations, management, troubleshooting, configuration, and migrations is preferred
  • Proficient in the use of methodologies supported by SAP best practices.
  • Extensive experience of Basis administration is a must.
  • Proficient in working in Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Four-year degree with Computer Science or Business Administration or MIS focus (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills; ability to build strong formal and informal relationships.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transition smoothly between technical and business vernacular, tailoring communications to the audience.
Desirable Requirements
  • Superior knowledge of Sybase, SQL Server & DB2 databases is required.
  • Experience in other SAP components like BOBJ, SOLMAN etc
  • Experience of working in a virtualized environment like VMWare is a plus.
  • Certification in SAP Basis or SAP HANA
