Pravega is a very young project, and we have already opened our repository to establish a community ( http://pravega.io ). This is your opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and help evolve a vibrant open source community around Pravega.ResponsibilitiesPeople Management of a team of 10+ engineers; Provide guidance, help to grow their skill level and rolesDrive, deliver software product aligned with the product road-map and business prioritiesWork closely with other scrum teams, cross-site and cross-functional teams, to ensure right quality product is delivered as committedWork on improving the productivity, efficiency and scrum maturity of the teamLead, encourage and facilitate innovation in the teamEngage closely with product technologists, product management towards driving our common goalsDevelops and provides challenging yet appropriate assignments, evaluates work, and communicates progress toward career development and goalsEssential RequirementsTotal experience to be 12+ of which people management experience of 4+ yearsExperience with Enterprise product development & Java technologiesExperience with Agile scrum methodologies, secure development life cycle and project managementImpeccable communication skills and ability to influence teams and peers to achieve higher goalsExperience with the enterprise development work environment (such as JIRA, Git, Unit test frameworks etc.,)Good knowledge of data structures and algorithmsStrong software development skillsAbility to hire and retain top engineering talentDesirable RequirementsAbility to work with open-source communitiesKnowledge of stream analyticsExperience with Apache Zookeeper and Bookkeeper, Kafka, Spark/Flink Kubernetes, Lucene, Solr/ElasticSearch, Security, Networking,
