As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for understanding end-to-end business requirements considering technical and business aspects and strive towards improvement of the quality. You will be part of an end-to-end testing team working on Subscription and Billing process. You d need high degree of efficiency and motivation in work habits with the ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for As a Quality Engineer, you will play an instrumental role in developing test plans and test strategies after analyzing the business and functional requirements. Create, maintain, and execute functional/regression/end-to-end test scripts spanning across multiple systems like Portals, API s, Oracle Order Management, SAP BRIM and Finance systems. You will be responsible for finding, triaging, and tracking defects through the resolution in ALM/Jira. Communicating with cross-functional teams across geos will be integral part of your day-to-day activities.Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing

  • You will be expected to engage with Product Owners, Development, and UAT teams to understand Business and Functional requirements.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements, create, and execute test plans/cases, track defects and review test results with business stakeholders.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategy, test scenarios, test plans and end-to-end Test Cases around portals including cross system integrations.
  • Participate in regular scrum meetings, planning and story pointing sessions, design, and defect Triaging
  • Define and report daily and weekly status reports & QA Metrics
  • Effectively utilize Test management tools like JIRA and ALM
  • Represent IT QA team in project meetings and will be responsible for sending updates, test results and analysis to the stakeholders
  • Execute automation scripts (using Selenium WebDriver) and API testing (using REST assured)
  • QA team is spread across geos, and hence you will need to work with colleagues remotely both full time employees and contingent workforce.
What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis You will play an integral role in the SDLC: from understanding business change/requirements, drafting Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases and defect management. You will be working on Customer facing portals, API s, ERP, Order to Cash, Subscription and Billing and finance domains. Execute automated regression test cases as part of regression testing. Using analytical skills, you ll understand business issues, propose solution and develop test strategy and test scripts.What is the leadership like for this role What is the structure and culture of the team like You will be part of the Shared Services IT-QA team. IT-QA is headed by Anand Devanathan who has spent over 4 years managing delivery for the Finance, Legal, HR portfolio and 2 years managing quality engineering for VMware IT.
