Software Quality Principal Engineer:Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.Join us as a Software Quality Principal Engineer on our Software Quality Engineering team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieve:As Software Quality Principal Engineer you will help build the automation software responsible for the quality assurance strategy for Dell EMC s newest management and orchestration team. This new team will build automation environments to rapidly validate micro-service products that are the foundation of other DellEMC software products. You will be on the leading edge of could technology driving its evolution as hyper-converged and micro-services architectures merge. This is a globally distributed team in various locations in India, Ireland, Russia and the United States.You will:Participate in teams of software and quality automation engineers working on automation capabilities which will be part of the foundation of Dell EMC s suite of software defined products.

• Act as a strong technical software developer to deliver a world class product to our customers
• Work with Common SW leadership to meet organizational goals. Regular communication with leadership on progress and milestone achievement
• Be an advocate in setting and driving engineering best practices to deliver high quality software in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Product development experience in successfully bringing new products to market
  • Passionate about being an automation developer. Knowledge of how to support a team to achieve business missions
  • 12+ years of extensive experience with high-performing software development teams; Knowledge of software development methods, design and implementation using cutting edge dev ops and automation processes.
  • Expertise in languages, tools, and techniques used to implement quality software products. Strong communicator, and be comfortable communicating technically at both high and low levels.
  Desirable Requirements
  • Extensive experience qualifying and developing enterprise software; on premises software & Infrastructure as a Service, test driven development, software configuration management, automated testing, CI/CD
  • Experience working with large enterprise customers. Knowledgeable in Public & Private Cloud technologies
  • Knowledgeable in a subset of the following common software development tools, languages and design patterns
  • Python, GoLang, Service Mesh, Kubernetes, microservices, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking.
