Job Description

The Solution Architect, D&T, Infrastructure role is to: 24x7 operations of the global application hosting infrastructure spanning multiple geographic regions and time zones worldwide globally support following technology environments: VMware servers, Microsoft servers, Active Directory, Dell EMC Backup systems, Microsoft Azure Cloud environment join project teams as key member and develop project plans with milestones and execute those against agreed goals provide implementation and on- going technical support for the above mentioned technology services manage vendors to achieve defined outcomes Other infrastructure operations as required for example, Microsoft RDS, LAN, VoIP services The ideal candidate will have hands- on experience with: Working in multi- region, intercultural global teams across different geographies and timezones senior role as subject matter expert and key contact for the areas of responsibility running sub- projects and smaller projects in a self- driven, self- reliable way Communicating and providing positive experiences with diverse audiences external partners, internal clients, and IT development teams Problem solving and resolving application hosting infrastructure incidents as a principal contact Mentoring and assisting entry- level network specialists and other IT team members Working with outside service providers to deliver and sustain infrastructure solutions Creating and maintaining IT system lifecycle documents Extensive knowledge of VMware environments Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server and Active Directory environments Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services Required Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluent in English language written and spoken ITIL Foundation certified Industry or Vendor Certifications Five years deploying, managing and supporting Windows Operating Systems Five to seven years supporting enterprise computing platforms and systems Five to seven years supporting VMware virtualized infrastructure Two years supporting cloud as a service offerings Experience supporting manufacturing in a GMP environment strongly preferred Good knowledge of VMware VSphere server virtualization technologies. Good knowledge of Microsoft Active directory Good understanding of IT Infrastructure technologies available and experience as System Administrator. Use entry- level scripting to automate system management tasks. Ansible, Python, PowerShell or other equivalent development language. Bonus skills: Working experience in an international environment Experience in managing Backup systems in general or Avamar Backup Practical development or scripting experience using PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript, Opalis, Orchestrator and/ or equivalents is a plus. Two years supporting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Project Management skills Experience supporting manufacturing and laboratories in a GxP environment Understanding of Agile and DEV OPs methodologies and experience with using them in practice Personal Skills/ Characteristics Comfortable communicating with diverse audiences external partners, internal clients, and IT development teams Driving for results solve problems, resolve issues and provide positive experiences to service recipients Strong planning and organizing skills - having the ability to work independently and adjust effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures Shows initiative and ability to work independently Experience and willingness in communicating in globally spread, international teams. Self- driven, motivated and encouraged as well as encouraging personality Willingness to take over responsibility PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Average travel required is 20%, including international travel OFFICE LOCATION: Bangalore, India Occasional on- call work required Position in India: Prefer 12pm 8pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.,
