The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, hands-on experience in ITOM modules, CMDB architecture, integrations, and discovery. Experience with App Engine is a plus.# Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform with primary focus on ITOM and CMDB. Configure and customize ITOM modules including:o Discoveryo Service Mappingo Event Managemento Orchestration# Design, implement, and maintain CMDB architecture including:o CI class modelingo Relationship mappingo Data normalization and reconciliationo CMDB health monitoring and governance
• Develop custom applications, workflows, UI policies, business rules, and integrations.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and other integration tools.
• Support data imports, transform maps, and data source configurations.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and platform governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and business teams to gather and translate requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide production support for ITOM and CMDB-related issues.
• Participate in platform upgrades and ensure solution compatibility.
• Document technical designs, configurations, and processes.
# Required Skills & Qualifications
• 7-14 years of overall IT experience with minimum 5 years in ServiceNow development.
Strong hands-on experience in:o ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management)o CMDB design, implementation, and governance Deep understanding of CMDB data model, CI relationships, reconciliation rules, and data quality management. Experience with MID Server configuration and troubleshooting. Strong scripting skills:o JavaScript (Server-side & Client-side)o Glide APIso Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions
• Experience in integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITSM alignment.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
# Good to Have Experience with ServiceNow App Engine (custom app development). Experience with Flow Designer and Integration Hub. Knowledge of Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP).
