Job Description

Dell is looking for an experienced and proven software developer engineer, experienced with a broad set of software technologies in the personal computing space. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with other technologists, HW/SW architects, design engineers, other software developers, and product marketing teams to define, design, implemented, and launch industry leading products, directly impacting Dell s ability to continue winning in the PC market. As part of a software development team, you will be a critical asset to deliver innovative software solutions/applications encompassing firmware, drivers, middleware components, applications, and user interfaces software layers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Automation Scripts using Python
  • Participate in code reviews and implement code review feedback.
  • Framework development/enhancements and product specific common modules development as per project needs.
  • Automation enablement and trainings
  • Establish coding guidelines for the team.
  • Review Dev Artifacts (B-spec, HLD) and provide inputs on Automatability
  • Tools evaluation and recommendation
  • Contribution to Open Source or Org wide Tools initiative
  • Participate in Industry Automation forums both as attendee and presenter
  • Team SPOC in ALT and drive enhancements
  • Enable continuous testing
Essential Requirements:
  • Expert in Python scripting Lang
  • Expert in developing Automation framework
  • Track record of Automation deliverables across projects.
  • Minimum 8+ years of Python based Development/Automation
  • Good technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Server hardware, Systems management software, Storage, Virtualization, Networking.
  • Strong in all testing concepts
  • Prior experience using Test tools for defects, test cases
  • Good communication skills
Desirable Requirements:
  • Prior experience testing APIs
