Job Description

We are seeking our first VP of engineering to grow a world-class engineering organization and culture.
As VP, you will be responsible for software development, architecture, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

From the ground-up, architect reliable, secure systems spanning web, mobile, and telephony/IVR; scale product to keep up with sales (5x in 2 years)
Recruit and manage world-class engineering talent
Nurture a design-oriented culture through writing and reviewing technical and agile processes, functional and technical specs, and clean, well-tested, well-documented code
Oversee multiple sprints, ensuring planning accuracy, productivity, and efficiency according to well-defined metrics; balance quality with speed to support innovation
Build a rock-solid release pipeline leveraging CI/CD, testing automation, containerization, DevOps, and other modern techniques Deliver on ambitious OKRs and release schedules
Represent engineering across departments; report directly to the CEO

Qualifications

The best manager your reports ever had Several years experience leading a small, high-velocity, high-performance engineering organization, preferably within a startup
8-10 years implementation experience across the stack; big data a plus Passion for delightful UX and beautiful interface; UI design experience a plus
